Joshua M. Bloom
Joshua Bloom and his wife Anna have two children named Maya and Matthew.
Mr. Bloom was raised in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania and also spent his teenage and
college years living on a farm in Claysville, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bloom always had a passion for pursuing the rights of working people. He
received his undergraduate degree in history with a concentration in the labor
movement during 1993 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During law school, he
focused his studies on the rights of working people and graduated with honors from the
Capital University Law School during 1996.
Mr. Bloom is well known for his representation of the rights of labor organizations
and individuals who have been wronged or injured. Collectively, he has handled
hundreds of jury trials, bench trials, arbitration trials, and federal and state
administrative hearings. He is faculty to the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and he
frequently lectures nationally and locally to attorneys on the subjects of overtime
compensation, union rights, litigation, and free speech. Mr. Bloom is admitted to the
Pennsylvania state and federal courts and has been admitted to practice in front of the
U.S. Supreme Court.

Jonathan Colton
Joshua M. Bloom & Associates, P.C. is very proud to have landed attorney Jonathan Colton. Mr. Colton's devotion to representing, protecting, and understanding the rights of workers is rooted in his family history. Mr. Colton's grandfather worked as a union welder in and around Philadelphia for many years; his great uncle participated in one of the longest strikes in labor history — a 156-day strike of Westinghouse in 1955-56; and his father, a retired teacher of thirty-five years, was an active member in the PSEA and NEA, serving as his local union's President, Treasurer, and Chief Negotiator.
Mr. Colton was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Drexel University in 1997. As required by Drexel's cooperative education program, Mr. Colton worked full-time in the computer field for two, six-month periods during his last three years of schooling. While at Drexel, Mr. Colton also taught high school mathematics as a student teacher within inner-city Philadelphia and received certification in secondary education.
In 2000, Mr. Colton attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in Civil Litigation in 2003. Mr. Colton is admitted to practice in the Federal and State courts of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association.
